Contacted Fiona about this site and got this note to post for Jaye....
Jaye I got my hip replaced a year ago after excruciating pain and being in bed for quite a while...I am even dancing again now. These are wonderful operations, so it feels like a whole new life for me. BUT from my experience, please make sure that they keep your meds going during the surgery. I just assumed they would know that, but they did not, and I had severe dystonia attack immediately upon waking from surgery - had to talk the recovery room staff thru the benadryl IV, etc. And make sure that you can take your meds on your own schedule - not theirs - hide them under your pillow if you have to!!!! Good luck, you're going to be so happy about this. best, Fiona (formerly known as Rao) I just registered on the forum, but haven't been activated yet. My new handle will just be Fiona.... |
