I don't know the answer, but I've been thinking of doing the same. I stiffen up pretty bad some time during the night and that disrupts my sleep. So, I'm interested in reading the responses to this question, too.

Are you having a problem in the morning when you get out of bed... such as just the getting out of bed part, or being badly "off" when you get out of bed.
It is not unusual for the doc to script controlled release at bedtime. Can help you get going, or just getting out of bed in the a.m.

I had a problem with Controlled Release Sinemet. Apparently, i tis not unusual for any controlled releease medication to buiild up in your system and you end up overdosing. It showed up as severe dyskenesia.

CR will give you more and better sleep. It does for most anyway. It let me go from 2-3 hours to 5-6 hours of good uninterrupted sleep.
