Question an excerpt from the book -What your Doctor may not tell you about P.D.

I have a few questions? would you mind helping me while I ask these aloud?

This book is not new -the premise is not new either, it tells about Traditional Chinese Medicine -which is definately not new -but just unknown to most of us, and most of our doctors -
the medicines we take will hurt us -eventually we like drug addicts - we will need a higher and higher fix until we are so full of drugs our bodies, give up the ghost.
I recall a very long time ago when babies where born at home, my father was one of those, my grandmother told me -she would not go to the hospital,
it was not done -the doctor may or may not come to her home and either deliver the baby or even if he did not come until after the baby was born -
he would eventually come and check on her -and basically bring forms that she had given birth to a living baby... her mother was the one that helped her give birth to her 5 children, my father was the first born -
1924, this is the way things were done - and also no formula was needed,
my grandmother breast fed her babies - they did not give the children vaccines -antibiotics -baby food - if you had a child that wasn't healthy
or was still born, or died shortly after birth -that was called the way of nature.
so for the most part -
the children were stronger because -it was basically the survival of the fittest.

Now everything we do is under the scrutiny of the AMA -the American Medical Society -we go to the doctor -even if we are burning up with a fever-
we have to go to a hospitol, where all the rest of the sick people go
why?

because the system was dramatically changed:

by the time my mother had her first child in a catholic hospital -where the catholic nuns were nurses - this brave new world started working differently?
Why? my oldest sister was born in 1947 -
the doctors still made house calls but the people in the USA were told
we have the best care in the World! and the people started believing this to be so - and then things really started changing - why?

perhaps the powerful men - decided to make money off the poor common man - how?

well they sold them a bill of goods that were not completely true...
why?
was it for greed -
perhaps they saw us as a comodity?
where they money vultures...or opportunists?

in Europe the doctors to this very day -still make house calls, but no sirreee bob!
not in the the USA - WHY?
are we the trendsetters of the WORLD? like the Romans?

the old fashioned way - they way the people did in the "OLD" countries...
are they bad?

I have / we have: been told over and over and over again - this is the greatest nation on Earth? why?

when we change things like driving on the other side of the road -opposite from most of all the rest of the world -that is if they even own a car?
is owning a car the rule? or the exception to the RULE?

sorry to tell you but owning a vehicle is the exception to the rule...

most of the world does not live as pampered and spolied as most of the USA
they live at a slower pace. Why?

perhaps we are the exception to the rules because -
qoute? we are proud to be an American where at least we know we are free?
but are we free?

is lady liberty actually standing in New York Harbor with her
illuminated lamp -lighting the way to freedom -give me your poor your tired your huddled masses: why?

A HOLISTIC PERSPECTIVE

In the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) view, Parkinson's disease, as with all diseases, is not identified as a specific condition, but rather matches up to several different constellations of symptoms, each with its own treatment protocol to address the imbalances and deficiencies that are causing that particular group of symptoms. Therefore, someone conventionally diagnosed as having Parkinson's disease whose main symptom was a great deal of tremor could have a very different "diagnosis" in TCM than a Parkinson's patient whose main difficulty was in walking and balance.

Fundamentally, TCM looks at Parkinson's disease as being caused by three categories of symptoms, each signaling that fluids and blood are deficient and are not sufficiently nourishing sinews and energy channels. "Qi and Blood Deficiency" is caused by emotional stress, anger, frustration, and resentment. "Phlegm-Fire Agitating Wind," another category, is thought to be due to diet, in particular, consumption of too much greasy, fried, or sweet foods. A third category consistent with Parkinson's is "Kidney and Liver Yin Deficiency," which is usually due to overwork and insufficient rest, and night or graveyard shifts, which unbalance the body's natural rhythm. TCM then works, using nutrition, herbal remedies, acupuncture, and other TCM approaches, to provide the nutrients and rebalance the movement of energy—qi—to resolve the symptoms.

Complementary and alternative medicine has many different perspectives on Parkinson's disease, but many practitioners view Parkinson's disease as a condition that results from over-exposure to toxins, chronic inflammation in the body, insufficient nutrition to the brain, unbalanced blood sugar, and nutritional deficiencies. Using various modalities, including herbs, vitamins, diet, and mind-body approaches, practitioners guide patients in programs that typically consist of several components, including:

• Eliminating toxic exposures;

• Avoiding food allergens;

• Ridding the body of pathogens and infectious organisms;

• Providing adequate nutrition and energy to the brain and cells; and

• Introducing anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, and antioxidant foods and supplements.
