Default Weekly Check-In Dec 23-29, 2007 Happy Holiday!

Hi Everyone..I wish you all a Happy Holiday, and I hope Santa is good to all of you!....Welcome to any new community members who have arrived this week

I did my X-mas shopping this week, and Im glad its done..The stores are crowded, and so are the parking lots..Everywhere you turn, you're in somebodys way, or somebody is in your way

Im going to head out to my girlfriends house tomorrow..Shes got a big family, so we figured its best to get together on Sunday, and then on Monday night my cousin invites the family over every year on Christmas Eve

I did more hanging around that anything else this week..Theres still about 5" of snow on the ground, and the weather hasnt been very good..I still have a load of conch traps to being home, so I hope this week I can get that done..Ive got a bunch of clothes that dont fit me anymore, so Im gonna make a trip to the Salvation Army with them

Im still waitng for that lawyer to finalize my Mothers estate..3 weeks ago he said he'd call me next week...So after X-mas Im going to call him and tel him to make a date to settle up, or Im gonna go and see the Probate Judge, and make his get off his behind..He was supposed to settle up in 6 months after the Probate..That was in June!..Enough is enough

How was your week?

Tongue You asked!

Celebrated the re-emergence of clinical depression by having a colonoscopy yesterday. No problems there except for what's normal for PD--interal hemorrhoids from consipation. Today I'm pretty much still crashed. I'm free of pain, though, and i can walk and I can sing. Taking my increased antidepressants, keeping the attitude up as best I can. Looking forward to family visiting. So life is life, let's make the best of it.

Best blessings to all from wherever blessings come from for you,
and Merry Christmas to those who want one,
Jaye

Default Merry Christmas!!!

I'm still hanging in there, and check in to see who still has Pd and who has had a miraculous cure ..... so far the ones with pd are out numbering the Miraaculous cure by 100%! I am not only in the middle of Christmas, I'm in the middle of moving out to my daughters. Never, never, never plan these to events for the same time.

Jayes post on constipation prompts me to tell you all a little story::
The "C" problem is not one I have had to endure. But I don't drink coffee or tea (except herb tea, and not even much of that). Someone gave me a neat little espresso pot for Christmas at the beginning of Dec. along with a pkg of ground coffee. Nifty I thought, so I tried it. I really liked it EXCEPT I got quite constipated.. Very peculiar I thought to myself, so I gave it up for a few days and I reverted back to my old patterns which was great. Decided to give it a second try and two days laterI was back to the problem of concrete forming where noone needs concrete. So my espresso pot and its tasty pkg of coffee have found a new home in my storage closet. Maybe I'll try it in the summer

Anyway ... just had to share with the whole world. See ya after I get reconnected sometime in January! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Joy

Merry Christmas everyone!
It's the early hours of Christmas morning here now so I'd better hit the sack or Santa might not visit.
Cheers,
Lee

Default Best wishes for this holiday season.

I am beginning to really relax, now that my shopping is finally done!

May we all use this season to bless and encourage all of those we come in contact with, in whatever way we are able.

Well my vacation is winding down from work. The day after Christmas, it's back to work again to prepare for the New Year. This is a very stressful time of year in IT because the business system has to be operational by the first week in January for accounting and business transactions.

On the PD front, I've been sleeping a lot lately, and I mean really sleep like 3 or 4 hour naps complete with dreams and everything. It's not like I've been depressed because I have a lot of projects going on with school, some piano work, and everything else that happens this time of year. My intensions are good, but the witheral isn't there to do it so many things don't get accomplished like they should. I actually get so tired that I am barfy, and then need to lie down recharge the batteries. I get up feeling okay, but still tired and go to bed without any problems.

I did push myself a few days during the vacation to get things done, and even ended up driving during one of the snowstorms. I was out food shopping with one of the storms came through. This was no fun to drive in with bumper-to-bumper traffic. When I got home, I slipped and landed on my backside on the walk going into the house. Other than a bit of bruised pride, I wasn't in too bad a shape.

Anyway, everyone have a very happy holiday, and let's hope that 2008 brings us all good health and prosperity.

John

Default Of All My Gifts

this year, I certainly include all of you who have given me so much...most especially, the hope, support and the will to continue this PD journey as Doreen's carepartner. My wish and prayer for all of you for the New Year is for the most optimal health that one can have with PD...my everyday prayer for Doreen...I pray for all of you. May the New Year bring peace-filled hearts to all.

Blessings...
Therese
