Default poem.. The Existence of Diamonds

Hand me a single string
I will weave a blanket strong
Offer me a sound from life
So I can find a harmony
Allow me to see truth
And I will make a portrait pure
Let me feel silence
My words will complete the novel.

There is composure enough
Inside my basin of hard fact
I have explored each dimension
With challenges fullest appeal
My existence defines itself
From seeds I have been fed
I will not be held prisoner
By boundaries my mind cannot find

Touch me with humility
My hands will feel the world
Show beauty in the darkness
I will capture the moment
Toss me a grain of sand
And I will mold into a diamond
Whisper in my ear hope
And I will create life

Default up for a poetry duel? *wink

stolen dreams~

those jewels I once wore in my youth
that twinkled and sparkled of life
the ldealistic stones of mine
I wore for the position called -wife

and in that starless summer
like the diamonds on my hand
the ones that are suppose to
stand for love -although they did not stand

and the flawless string of pearls
gifted from that perfect man ~
I gave them back that very night
as only imperfection can...

the gold and silver trinkets
o' the gifts of youth once bright
that lived inside my jewelry box
long years past - since I lost there sight...

Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant with the weak and the wrong. Sometime in your life you will have been all of these.
