My husband has been on Apokyn for over a year and I don't know what we would do without it - it would be great if the FDA would approve the pump but alas they haven't yet.
When he is totally incapacitated and can not move - one injection and within minutes he's up again! Great stuff for those who need it and can tolerate it. |

Is putting me on apomorphine, startig next thursday. It's the pen. I just hope it'll stop all this "jumping around" with dyskinesia. I hope that it helps me in any way at all. Gotta take the antinauseant, 3, 4, 5-trimethoxy benzamide 300mg/ 3 times a day, for 3 days before the first shot. More fricken "horse pills", I gotta gag down. I'm embarrased by the "wall of pills" that is piling up in the kitchen shelves. Gone from a guy with only one or two past date prescriptions in the bathrom cabinet, to having enough pills to choke a horse
Well I'm not complaining , I'll try anything , if it promises release (even for a short time) from this Dumbo Disease. I'm just "coming down" from an overmedicated state, and am a really diskinetic "twist tie" position. Typing ain't easy; I swear that i'm gonna wreck my computer desk from constantly hitting the wood with my knees ( wouldn't be the first one)! |

I am about to take a Apomorphine challenge test at a UK hospital. I have seen very little written about it by PWPs who have experienced its pros and cons.
Please update us. Thank you Kenki |

ol'cs
I noted the date of this resurrected post. Can you tell us how it went for you in using Apokyn? It has been approved for use in an epi pen, but I know that they are tryiing to get it approved in nasal spray delivery. But what I want to know ias "Did it work?" I have a friend in Florida that uses it regularly. She says she wouldl never "kick on" were it not for the shot of apomorphine. |

We are considering use of Apokyn or had wings, relocation to Europe (!) for the pump. At the end of ups and downs and ons and offs with Sinemet for Jan. I appreciate this thread, Ms. ZFlower!
