Question dear rev?

hey rev,
are you trying to correlate the colors of the chakra?
to electrical blockages? these areas are top of the head and down the entire spinal cord...

http://www.answers.com/topic/chakra-...g-1?cat=health

or color therapy?
small example you will find all at the link
Violet

Violet promotes enlightenment, revelation, and spiritual awakening. Holistic healthcare providers use violet to soothe organs, relax muscles, and calm the nervous system.

Indigo

Indigo is also sedative and calming. It is said to promote intuition. Indigo may be useful in controlling bleeding and abscesses.

Blue

Blue promotes communication and knowledge. It eliminates toxins, and is used to treat liver disorders and jaundice.

Green

Because it is located in the middle of the color spectrum, green is associated with balance. Green is calming, and is used by Ayurvedic practitioners to promote healing of ulcers. It is said to have antiseptic, germicide, and antibacterial properties and is sometimes used by holistic color therapists to treat bacterial infections.

Default weekday colors

Birte -

omigosh! you are the first person I have ever known that automatically and forever have thought of days of the week with colors! mine are:

Monday - white
Tuesday - light blue
Wednesday - green
Thursday - vibrant red
Friday - dark red or green or blue (could be brown, but can vary)
Saturday - light red, but not pink; kind of a beautiful sunset
Sunday - warm yellowish/ orangey

Default colored light

Several things combined to get my interest going in this direction.

1) It is commonly reported that blue lenses relieve PD symptoms - sometimes quite dramatically. There is a Youtube video that is particularly impressive.

2) In light of what we have learned about the role of light and the length of day as a regulatory element in the way we function, the idea that specific wavelengths (colors) might have particular effects is not so weird as once thought.

3) Blue, in particular, is interesting since it is the color of the sky and presumably would have been a logical choice evolutionarily speaking for a benchmarking system.

4) Add all that up, along with recent research showing that there are, indeed, specific receptors in the eye for blue light that seem to be more ancient than the familiar rods and cones.
"

Diagnostic imaging, neurology
MR brain imaging discovers blue light affects memory and alertness

12 December 2007

Researchers at the University of Liege, Belgium, and the University of Surrey, UK, have used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to discover a previously unknown affect of light on the brain. They have shown that blue light can affect basic functions of the human brain such as alertness, memory, emotion and cognitive tasks. "
http://www.mtbeurope.info/news/2007/712015.htm

5) Then consider the following quotes from various writers and the dates noted:
""#5<blue-violet> is one of the most important frequencies in the treatment of 'Americanitis' expressed in hyperirritability, hurrying, speed mania, the desire to do many things in a limited amount of time, and over-activity of many kinds without plan or reason. Continuous over-exposure to various stimuli of light, sound, and motion has created hyper-irritability of nervous response in inhabitants of our big cities, and most of those coming for treatment suffer more or less from conditions which require lowering of tonus and relaxation, where #5 is indicated." -1939

""In syntonic phototherapy, red light is prescribed for amblyopia because red allows retinal charge to build. Then when the retina fires in response to light, it does so with an increased vigor capable of overwhelming resistant synapses in the retina and visual centers in the brain. Blue light depletes excess charge in the body. When a body builds too much charge, muscles will tighten in spastic knots and senses will be hyper reactive. Increased pain, for example, would result from lowered thresholds and increased sensation. By reducing charge, blue light relieves acute pain and tension."
http://www.syntonicphototherapy.com/...=42&SubPage=43

It is interesting at the very least. Anyone else blue?

Default days of color

Carey - I knew I couldn't be the only one whose days were in beautiful colors. And I think the fact that we share two in the same colors is more interesting than that the rest are not the same.

Some letters have colors too. T is blue as Tuesday and Thursday - O is red, Onsdag is Wednesday in Danish, L is brown, Lørdag is Saturday in Danish, But S for Søndag is not black, S is red or greenish yellow, and M - Mandag, is watery blue, not white. Fredag's F is among the letters that for some reason have no color, and then there are some that change color - I've no idea why. However B is always red, and C is white.

I saw a program about an Autistic math genius in Britain who could remember an endless sequence of numbers as well as solve intricate math problems in seconds. He explained that to him the numbers appeared as colors.

Unfortunately my colored letters have not made me any kind of genius, but we do share a quirk, Carey, and at least we always have color in our lives.
