Hello,

My initial symptoms were stiffness, slowness/loss of movement in my right hand, tremor in that hand and rather unusually for PD, head tremor. The stiffness and the fine motor control in my hand were improved and the head tremor was less likely to be triggered by stressful/social events. Generally I'd say I was more supple. I also used to get a significant resting tremor in my right arm in bed or watching the telly - but this has all but gone.

The benefits waned gradually, but I seemed to improve with increase in dose for a while.

I'd say the wearing off of Ropinirole is much more obvious.

Also the bigger patches often partially detach - presumably meaning that I'm getting a lower dose than the label says. I find that 3 * 4mg is more effective than a 8mg and a 4mg - much to the annoyance of my GP and pharmacy. Also that they seem to work better on my upper body, rather than my legs - but could be imagining it !

Cheers,
Toob.

Default well......

Well, with no sleep, muscles aching in arm and legs and ouch those patches hurt when you take them off! (esp. after you've been out in the sun awhile.) They do leave red marks. and then there's the swimsuit issue (where can you hide that big patch?) I decided to end the patch trial and go back to mirapex........

only I have to admit I was moving better...... and I liked not having to worry about taking the pills on time.......... (I could change my mind again....woman's perogative, ya know)
