FOUNTAIN HILLS - Artists with Parkinson's Disease have until the end of this month to submit artwork for a special exhibit this spring at Fountain Hills' Beth Shafe Memorial Gallery.

The Parkinson's Art Exhibit runs throughout April to celebrate National Parkinson's Awareness Month.

Only people with Parkinson's Disease in Maricopa County can enter.

Because the gallery's size is limited, a panel of jurors from the Fountain Hills Art League will choose the pieces.

"The total number of pieces entered and their sizes will be a consideration of the jurors," said Bruce Florence, founder of the Fountain Hills Parkinson Support Group.

Entrants must email photographs of up to two pieces by 10 p.m. Feb. 29 to Florence at bflore2406@cox.net. They should include a name, email and mailing addresses, phone number and details of the artwork's size, medium, title and price.

The exhibit is put on by the gallery, art league, support group and Phoenix's Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.

The Beth Shafe Memorial Gallery is located in the Fountain View Village Senior Living Community, 16455 E. Avenue of the Fountains.

The Fountain Hills Parkinson Support Group meets at 9:30 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the Fountain Hills Senior Center, 13001 N. La Montana Drive.
