I finally had a chance to meet with my neurologist yesterday. The meeting lasted over an hour, which I found really great because we had a chance to discuss what has been happening in great detail.

The outcome is that she has changed my medication a little bit. I wouldn't say that this is a drastic change, just a change in the scheduling with the addition of Sinemet CR 200/100. She then told me that if I stiffen up at all during the night, I can sneak in an extra regular Sinemet to fill in the gap.

So instead of taking 6-1/2 regular Sinemet, I'm now taking 6 regular Sinemet and 1 Sinemet CR before I go to bed. I tried this last night for the first time, and guess what! I slept all the way through without too any issues. I didn't twitch, have much trouble turning over, sweat, or cramp up. It was a wonderous sleep with a rather intense, but interesting dream.

She had me go through the usual paces with cognitive questions, arm movements, finger movements, foot stamping, walking, and the push test. She noticed some stiffness, but no tremor or cogwheeling as I had already taken two doses of Sinemet by the time I saw her at 1:30. This was a far cry from the previous appointment where I was very tremulous and very stiff and slow. She did note that my right side is still quite a bit slower moving than the left. I noticed that as well especially when playing the piano which requires quick movement with lots of control over everything.

Anyway, I see her again sometime in June after my trip.
