Have just returned from a two week visit to China.Correct me if I am wrong but I believe China has the highest number of PWP per head of population in the world.I noticed that PWP were more noticable than here in Britain.Just from looking out of the window to watch a man slowly crossing a road to an glipse of a man in a bar.I wondered why this was .It cannot just be because of the expense of medication.

China has 1.7 million people with Parkinson's Disease, which is more than any other country.
The U.S.A. has the greatest proportion of people with Parkinson's Disease. However, due to the more limited health facilities, China probably has a lot of people with Parkinson's Disease that are never diagnosed. Last edited by Curious; 09-04-2007 at 10:32 AM. |
