Default Question for Rosebud

I do think that anxiety has something to do with the dystonia. The drug that you mentioned (Clobazam), is it an antidepressant? Have you found that you were able to reduce your Sinemet when you take the Clobazam. I am concerned that taking too much Sinemet will cause me to have problems with side effects much sooner if I am increasing it just to deal with the dystonia. How much Sinemet do you take and do you also take an agonist?

I have a med called Clobazam (brand name Frisium) I'm in Canada and you must have it in the States under a different name. But it works like magic for me. I have had this med for 4-5 years now. Your problem may be anxiety related... and we all know what that does. It causes us to seize up our muscles and if we can do it long enough or hard enough we generate pain.

Something to think about.

Default hurts soo bad today

I finally had my appointment with neurologist. But my neck and shoulders have been hurting so badly that I thought I should also try a chiropractor. So I left work early and went to one. She said that my neck and back were way out of line and snapped me back into alignment as best she could. Then she said to come back 5 more times to keep them straight.. She also recommended that I come on a maintenance schedule to keep myself in align and feeling good.
After that I went to neurologist appt. He asked how I was and I told him about all back issues I was having. He had me stand in front of mirror and it did appear that my right shoulder was higher than left. He felt my muscles and said they were very tight and tender. He feels that I am starting to get a bit of dystonia in my neck and shoulders. (anywhere else, but why there!!) He wants to give me botox injections in my upper back and neck to relax muscles. I asked if I should increase my sinemet or anything else. His response was that those meds won't help dystonia.
I also asked him if this condition could be the reason for obtaining long term disability. If the botox doesn't work, it would. I am an autocad drafter and use my right hand all day long on my mouse and that is the side my pain is on. This part of my story may be good news. I wouldn't mind retiring on long term disability. Otherwise I can't afford to retire this early and it is getting harder and harder to work 40 hrs a week.
