Louisiana public health centers to receive free medications to help the uninsured and underinsured

Wilmington, DE - On Wednesday, March 26, AstraZeneca will announce its plans to provide free medications to limited to moderate-income people in Louisiana through a community access program that currently serves eighteen parishes in the state.

AstraZeneca will donate its products to a medication access program that assists non-Medicaid, non-Medicare eligible people who need help with prescriptions. Through the new program, patients will receive free AstraZeneca medications at the health clinics where they receive their care.

Patients are eligible for this program if they do not have prescription drug coverage and have a household income at or below $30,000 for an individual or $60,000 for a family of four. The service area will include Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Bienville, Caldwell, Catahoula, Desoto, Evangeline, Grant, Jackson, Jefferson Davis, LaSalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Red River, Sabine, Vernon, Winn Parishes.
