Default Weekly Check-In May 4-10, 2008

Hi Everyone..Lots of rain, but atleast its getting warmer out

I think Im gonna put my conch pots in the water starting Monday..This will be the earliest that Ive began fishing for them, but everything is so expensive now that I have to try earlier this year to try and generate some income..I usually go further out in the summer, but due to the price of gas, and the fact that I dont feel like going that far, Im going to stay in the river this summer

My friend who had cancer passed away last week and I went to his memorial service this morning..He was dx with a rare tumor in his shoulder 2 months ago, and it wrapped around his spine, and then his throat..They tried to shrink it with radiation, but it was too agressive..Very sad, he went so quickly, and his Mom also passed away a couple of days before he did, and he was too sick to attend the services because he was in the ICU fighting for his life..Life just isnt fair sometimes

I tried the brand name Sinemet 50/200, and I did better this week..The generics just dont seem to work for me..CVS doesnt have the 50/200 in stock, and when I tried to get the 50/200 CR a few months ago, I couldnt get it..They said it was back ordered..So I have a feeling Im gonna run into the same problem again..Maybe I'll just take 3 doses of the generic CR daily instead of 2

How was your week?

Default trust

Have you ever trusted someone completely,
only to find out that he was not the person
that you thought he was?

Mary Frances,

Been there, done that. In retrospect, I'm glad he left when i was in the early stages. I would not want to be dealing with it now, when everything else is so difficult. Furthermore. I realized that he was not the man I had thought he was.I know you are hurting, but life does go on.

The good news is that you will survive this. He very well may come back too.
If he doesn't, well, you have to look at it from the prospective that you are better off without him. Get a lawyer.
hugs to my friend

Steve,

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I'm sure he's a peace right now rather than suffering in a hospital with the so-called "quality time" that the doctors give the patients. This is quality time? I am glad though that you are out in your boat even with gas prices as high as they are. Getting out doors and doing the things that mean the most to you are what feeds the soul.

Mary,

I am so sad to hear this. You are a strong person and I know you'll get through this. The unfortunate part is the stress from the ordeal which will wipe you out. I'm sure everything will work out in the end. Get a good lawyer to help you if necessary. It's sad that some people can't deal with another persons illness or problems. You are the same person he married, but now in the time of need he's running away. So much for the "better or for worse" part of the marriage vows.

For me this has been a busy week so far and it will be getting busier starting Thursday. Even though I'm on vacation right now, I've been running around getting all of my little diddly things done before I travel for the next 10 days. Monday was spent getting tires with my brother and picking up the Parcopa for when I need medication without a lot of water available as well as refilling my other prescriptions to ensure that I have an adequate supply while traveleing. Yesterday was spent with more running around to the bank and what not for traveller's checks, cash, etc. I even splurged and got myself a watch and a small digital camera. Later on I packed my luggage. This took me a good two hours to get everything into one bag, and I was totally exhausted afterwards. A nap was in order, but we had a visitor that stayed a little too long. Today is a down day so I can rest as much as I can because I'm up at 03:30 to catch my 7:00 flight from Boston to Oklahoma City.

Other than running around and trying to do too much, I'm doing okay. The medication has given me the flexibility I haven't seen in 6 years. Now to keep from over doing it, that's another story. The cramps are all but gone, but do sneak up on me by surprise sometimes early in the morning. I had one Tuesday morning about 4:00 that got me right out of bed. The darn toes curled right in on the left foot. I found that placing my foot down on the cold bathroom floor calmed it down quite a bit. The next day though the toes and foot felt like it wanted to do the cramping thing all day, but by later on the feelings had subsided.

Anyway I'll post some pitcures of my trip when I can.

John
