Post women that have PD are left more often -

This issue is clouded and confused by many things; gender (as stated above), family, economic status, religion, culture - anything that surrounds and creates your individual situation.

Bottom line is that PD makes any relationship harder. I have nothing but awe and appreciation for those who can make it work - and it does take work!

Regarding another of your original questions, Randy - I know several couples who both have PD who have met and married after diagnosis; everyone of them appears to be quite successful, I think mainly because they understand the true nature of PD.
good question, carey...
I have seen alot of Parkies, I have met more women left -then men -
in "The Champion Video" all the men remained married - and except for one -
all the women went through divorce - I t has been a tough life since -
but actually I prefer it on my own.
my theory -
if the husband is a PD patient the wife will stay if he has money or
the better thought would be if she truly loved him,

the husband usually if healthy will run from it / and leave the PDwife and be replaced with a newer healthier model,

the only one I can actually think of is "Mort Kondarke stayed for Milly,
Milly was very very ill when I met her, her face was frozen -yet she could speak with her eyes, her eyes filled with tears - when her Dr. chase introduced me to her, and I told her not to worry - I was fine...

soooooooo many such people I have met who have lived and died with this plague.

Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant with the weak and the wrong. Sometime in your life you will have been all of these.
