Reiki really does something for sure...

Insofar as PD goes, when my meds just don't want to kick in I can ask my wife for fifteen minutes of Reiki and I am "on". In fact, I don't think that it has ever failed to do that - at least not that I remember.

Like Jaye, i don't know what it does but it does something for sure. On at least two occasions over the last three or four years I have felt peristalisis-like, whole body waves of energy sweeping over me with such intensity that it was alarming. Almost enough to make me get up off the table though not quite. Weirdest thing I ever experienced without an illegal substance being involved :o

Again, there are some parts that I just don't buy. But there's something there.

There used to be a group of people in Toronto who called themselves The Emmisaries of the Divine Lght. My mother used to belong to this cult. They eventually moved to Loveland Colorado way back in the middle 50's..

They would lie on a table and swish their hands over a persons body and whoosh all the aches and pains and depressions would just evaporate.

I went once but too weird for me.

Mind over matter can do the same thing. imo

assuming that the comparison is to Reiki

gotta tell you there is none. There is no organized structure, no one in charge, etc. As to the laying on of hands, that is age old and quite effective. And as for the folks doing it, they're like any other group and span the whole range. I know it sounds weird but there is something real to it.
