Big time rains here too the last few days. With horrific winds. I drove 2-1/2 hours to Philadelphia and back again yesterday in torrential rains and high winds. Gratefully, they disapated before I had to return.

I wish the wind would stay away long enough to rake the leaves. Goodness! Give the humans a break will ya. We have had high winds for a good while now.

I had forgotten what a grand city Philly is. The buildings. The many old narrow streets. Hadn't been there for decades. Met a friend and visited the Reading Terminal Market...wow...sensory overload, smells and people and stuff, but...wow...what a great place.

Does anyone take day-holidays from meds?
If so, why?
Is it an okay thing to do or a bad thing to do.

I do it on the weekends when I am going to be home all day. 1) conserves pills. 2) wards off worsening dyskinesia??

Default drug holidays....

are a BAD thing to do. MY MDS said that 20% (as I recall)of those who take a drug holiday, die from it.

I rode the Hulk roller coaster twice today.....first time I have ridden a roller coaster in probably 25 yrs. I loved it and now feel that I will re-enter the world of roller coasters.....i didn't lose the hot fudge sundae I ate first either.

Thanks Charlie...I have heard that before. The one symptom that I problematic for me when I do this on the weekends is RLS. My jurkie legs are horrible and intolerable.

It can be a rock and a hard place with the new "totally awesome, well thought out, we are grateful for the handout"....NOT!!! ...Medicare Part D.

And, from what I have been reading about my 2007 plan...it will only get worse. Not only is my premium going from $48 a month to $79.40 a month, not including my current $268 a month in co-payment, but I am not sure that the delightful "gap" will be covered.
