Website on Parkinsons launched

KARACHI: The Pakistan Parkinson’s Society launched its website www.parkinsons.org.pk on Wednesday, offering resources to people suffering from the disease, their family and carers.

The website is simple and intuitive and visitors to the site can browse through a wide range of material and downloadable resources dealing with Parkinsons disease and how to improve quality of life and management of the disease. There is also a downloadable membership form for persons who wish to join PPS and contribute to the effort in spreading awareness and managing the disease in various ways.

The PPS support group conducts seminars and workshops on various topics on Parkinsons to spread awareness about the disease and a calendar of these events is also available on the website. Moreover for those persons who would like to know more on Parkinsons disease or have general questions, they only need to send an email to info@parkinsons.org.pk

Pakistan Parkinson’s Society (PPS) aims to ease the life of people afflicted with Parkinson’s disease (PD), and their care givers including families, by creating awareness and improving general understanding and management of the disease. PPS promotes dialogue between medical science and civil society by supporting and encouraging the free flow of information and propagating best practices. pr
