Mine is. My brother's is. Even my mother, who lives in a small development in Florida, has her house on street view. It's eerie. You can look 360 degrees around and see the homes all around you.
The street addresses are not accurate, but they are close. I went to each address and was able to 'walk' down the street in either direction to find the homes. You can zoom in. It's creepy. Previously, I saw my bedroom window in Google Earth from a satellite shot. Crazy! Go the google maps and type in the address; then click on "street view". http://maps.google.com How To Put Google Street View To Practical Use Google Street View can scope out real estate, travel destinations, and even save you from your next parking ticket -- all from your desktop, laptop, or smartphone browser. .... http://www.informationweek.com/news/...leID=207100430 |

that's part of why I like living in the jungles of Belize, near Guatemala.
there's no "US interests" here. thus, when you zoom in, all you get is a giant blur, you can't hardly even see my entire village, lol !!

My street isn't on the map either. We're up in the forgotten Merrimack Valley.

Google also has an application called "Google Earth." It's not a web page. It's a real Windows application that's just amazing. There's a free version plus enhanced versions that cost. Here's the link:
http://earth.google.com/ Our house is just a blur, too. We're too far out in the country to be interesting. The images are more clear of the populated areas. I've also noted that parts of military installations are also sometimes blurred. Karl |

I love Google Earth. It's the first thing I put on my notebook when I got it. It's so cool the way it zooms in. Some countries objected to it, perhaps for security reasons.
I zoomed right in to my condo, and there was my bedroom window. I couldn't believe it was visible from space. Amazing. I would have thought one could just see roofs, but the view was at an angle so I could see the front of the building. I just found my childhood home in New York on street view. Some of the homes added additions on top. Just found my high school. |
