Anyone care to share some of the words you have found that inspired you while traveling life roads?

Reading and pondering the words of another can be inspirational, life changing, insightful...many more words. I have many more. I collect them, but I won't torture you all any more than I have below with my inclusion of far to many, but I have so many I love to read and think about.

Grief is the agony of an instant, the indulgence of grief the blunder of a life. ~~ Benjamin Disraeli (1804 - 1881)

Look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again. Wisely improve the present. It is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy future, without fear. ~~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I think a hero is an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. ~~ Christopher Reeve

The willingness to accept responsibility for one's own life is the source from which self-respect springs. ~~ Joan Didion

Your life is what your thoughts make it. ~~ Aurelius, Marcus

Life marches by, I suggest you get on with it. ~~ Baluch, Joy

It is not how many years we live, but rather what we do with them. ~~ Booth, Evangeline Co

Just because Fate doesn’t deal you the right cards, it doesn’t mean you should give up. It just means you have to play the cards you get to their maximum potential. ~~ Brown, Les

And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow. ~~ Chin, Jerry

Every day brings a chance for you to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes, and dance. ~~ Oprah Winfrey (1954 - ), O Magazine, February 2003

I am responsible.
Although I may not be able to prevent the worst from happening,
I am responsible for my attitude toward the inevitable misfortunes that darken life.
Bad things do happen;
how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life.
I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness,
immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or
I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the
most precious gift I have – life itself.

~~ Walter Anderson quotes

You're alive. Do something. The directive in life, the moral imperative was so uncomplicated. It could be expressed in single words, not complete sentences. It sounded like this: Look. Listen. Choose. Act. ~~Barbara Hall

I long to accomplish a great and noble tasks, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker. ~~Helen Keller
