I just started stalevo and know the orange urine is nothing to worry about, but I was wondering what causes it. Couuld it be deleting my body of something I need to supplement?
Any ideas? Robert

just a chemical reaction. If you have a lot of chlorine in your water supply that can make it really orange. We have low levels of chlorine so I just get bright bright yellow. When I drink lots of water it gets lighter too. I can always tell when they've dumped a bunch of chlorine into the public water suppley. It's almost red.

My 3 year old granddaughter has been in the bathroom with me. In order to avoid accidents, she has to be reminded to go to the bathroom. So sometimes I say Grandma is going potty and then you go potty. So now she sometimes tells people at inappropriate times that Grandma has orange pee.

Isn't the same true for generic Sinemet CR? It is discolored and masked my UTI. Going every five seconds was a clue in spite of urine color.

Have to wonder at the thinking that produces a drug like this, so useful, with such a strong colour, for a condition that has well-documented peeing problems!

I don't know anything about the root cause of my "glow in the dark" pee.
But, I can make a few statements about it's effects on my life. 1. My wife and daughter instantly busted me as the culprit responsible for "inaccurate aim". I'm now in charge cleaning the toilet daily. 2. I had to say say good-bye to my tighty whiteys....enough said there. I also noticed the orange effect showing up in the high sweat areas on some clothes and bed sheets. Anybody else notice this?? |

Spilled - I can confirm the presence of that orange-yellow color in sweaty areas too. We use nothing but white washclothes and I see it every time my husband washed his face!
