I see a Chiropractor on a monthly basis..I have some minor trouble with dystonia..I cant say that the Chiropractor has made a difference with it, because it comes and goes..Physical activity seems to be the best medicine for me..Also, there are good Chiropractors, and there are bad ones, and the bad ones just take your money and tell you how good you are doing

Any of you who have dystonia know how uncomfortable it can be. Thanks for all your suggestions. As you say Rosebud, I can't really afford to keep going even if it is working so I might as well give it up now. Just another stab at finding relief, stay tuned.
HI Evon
Did your chiropractor diagnose any vertebral misalingments? My father has visited a therapist who confirmed he has misalignments of the c1 and c5 vertebrae. This is what is restricting the blood flow to the brain and exacerbating his parkinsons. He has just started chiropractic treatment however this alone will not rectify the problem (in some people chiro adjustments can last only a few hours before the muscle tension in their body pulls it out again). The other people posting are right when they recommend muscle relaxation/massage as close as possible prior to the chiropractic adjustment.
