Default update of my stuff

meds before cc appt..
1/2 sinemet 25/100 ev 3 hours
mirapex .5 five times a day
clonazapan 1 mg two times during day, 2 at bed.

ok, first of all, my dbs is turned off. i turned it off myself after they told me one of the wires was misplaced. and, i feel BETTER with it off. before i actually got in to see my neuro i tried turning it on for some relief. immediatly, i felt anxiety and anger. my face began getting hot, and that was enough for me. though some of my physical symptoms got better, the anxiety was far too much. i left it off until the first appt with the programmer at cc.

day one at cc. i was off pd meds since the night before and brought in a wheelchair . the programmer began to tinker with each lead, and voila.. the first setting she tried sent anxiety through the roof. she was not able to get much out of the programming... so, they went on to medications. i was given a 25/100 sinemet..and had a horrid reaction. i began to shake nearly like a seizure. the docs filmed this. after about 1/2 hour the shaking calmed, yet my muscles cramping in my legs would not release until 10-15 minutes later. they filmed the way my body worked during this too. they decided at this point to have me take stalevo instead of sinemet. end of day one.

day two also began with me in a wheelchair and off pd meds. and the programmer tried once again. she went through the series of testing the rest of the wires with many different adjustings on each one. none of them released my muscle rigidity, and my anxiety was a hinderence to any further programming. they then let me have the stalevo and i didnt have the seizure-like symptoms or muscle cramping. the conclusion was to put me on the med artane which works similiar to benedryl for the muscle cramping. i then saw the neuro-psych who probed into my emotions with questions regarding my life now, and from in the past. he clearly observed my reactions and found me to have alot of anxiety and depression. they also put me on remeron(sp)? 15 mgs for one month, then going up to 30 mgs. end of day two.

day three..i walked into the hospital on all meds without even the use of a cane. i saw the neuro surgeon who ordered another cat scan. after having the cat scan, they told me they believe both leads were bordering near the area of the brain that controls emotions. the programmer needed better readings than what she had to formulate a more accurate picture of what to do dbs-wise. i was told to allow the remeron time to work, and to see a qualified psychiatrist to get my anxiety level down before they would discuss anything further about the dbs. i walked out of hospital with this new med regime..

stalevo 50 mg 6 times daily
mirapex .5 mg 5 times daily
artane 2mg 3 times daily
remeron 15 mgs at bed , increase to 30 mgs at bed after one month
and a schedule to wean me off of clonazapan

dbs is still turned OFF
thats where its at

Default

yesterday, I became very dyskenetic. the kind where you are banging everything while sitting down. this morning at about 4:00 am, i took one stalevo and a mirapex.. dyskenesias again. they lasted about an hour, then it was time to take an artane. more dyskenesias. WITH THE ARTANE! my next dose of stalevo is due now. its 7 am. i am afraid of getting dyskenesias again. I am wondering if i should take half? man, im tired of all of this. at least i dont get that horrid rigidity now.

will call neuro tomorrow and keep you posted.
