Default The Colors of God

The Colors of God

The colors of morning
are coming forth in jubilee.
No longer are they a subdued backdrop to
silhouetted fences of trees.
Their brilliance shows me
the detailed view of today’s promise
dreams and fantasies disappear
and clarity brings truth into the day.
I can accept the acknowledgement
that steps I take now must be very slow.
Potholes are no longer hidden.
Though my vision is clear,
I still navigate by unbalanced hindsight.
This voice I know to be my own
Will ask God the most formidable questions
The colors He sheds upon this day
Illuminate answers He wants me to see.
Whether or not I recognize them immediately,
I captured the colors my eyes opened to.
Tomorrow the hue will be different.
The purpose of being where I am right now
is finding my soul.
I celebrate all tidings today.
As I gain wisdom through tribulation
And peace through faith
My perception of life becomes more refined.
Tonight, I fall to bed knowing
I have been blessed this day
With the colors of God .

Default Sounds like awakening

My mother died in a February. In May I suddenly noticed it was spring. This poem reminded me of that--awakening after a period of grief, consciousness after a time of reduced sensation, feeling like a fog has lifted. Thanks, Laura. This tells me how you're doing better than an hour of chat.
Blessings,
Jaye
