My boss came to me and asked if I was on a new medication. When I asked why, she said, for a few days she has smelt something similar to an old sandwich. Does Stalevo do that and are there complimentary fragrances I could wear to cancel out the old sandwich smell? (like mustard, bag of chips and maybe some tomatoes ) Stinky and concerned, Robert

Hi Robert,
Oh that's just great! Did your boss look everywhere to make sure there isn't actually an old sandwich somewhere? I'd go with sweet pickle cologne. Smell is overrated if you ask me....I don't like to think about it....geez paula

I think if you ate more garlic and beans that would cancel it out very effectively.

did she say what kind of sandwich? if it's pb&j, you are safe to stand near me anytime.
in all seriousness, smell can be a symptom of an illness or infection. has the oiliness of your skin changed recently? foods taste different? is your tongue white? |

sweating. When this happens, odors become more noticeable.
What kind of shoes do you wear? I'd look to the shoes first. Maybe get some charcoal inserts. Some supplements cause odor: Thiamine has a wheatey aroma. Thiamine would be in B-complexes and only would contribute in high doses. l-carnitine can also cause an acidic type body odor. Diabetics get a fruity odor about them. A rotten tooth, or gum infection or sinus infection is unpleasant as well. You can be breathing out compounds if you have renal failure, that don't smell too great. Same with liver. So I'd get a check up at the doctor if this does not resolve with the shoe inserts. Body odor also changes as the sex hormones fall. Also a dysbiosis in the GI tract will give some really obnoxious gas...this varies according to how bad it is. Yogurt sometimes helps this as well as probiotics. I hope this is just a superficial thing and easy to correct for you.
