Does anyone else take Boniva for Osteoporosis? You take it once a month first thing in the morning. I knew I had to take it an hour before eating breakfast and was set to take my first dose yesterday. I took my other pills I take first thing in the morning, Stalevo, Synthroid, and Nexium, and then I read the directions again on the Boniva package. You have to take it an hour before any other medication, and you can't lay back down after taking it, you have to stay upright. I don't move very well in the morning before I take my Stalevo. What do others do about PD meds? Do I need to just sit in a chair for an hour after the Boniva until I can take my Stalevo and be able to walk better?

Yes, I take Boniva. You take it with a full glass of water, and then you should stay upright (sitting in a chair would be fine) for one hour. I suggest you get situated in front of the TV to wait out the hour. No other meds can be taken before you take Boniva and none are allowed for one hour after. That includes vitamins and Parkinson's medicines. The good news is that you only need to do this routine once a month.
