Support NIH Funding In Economic Stimulus Take Action! Ask your Member of Congress to support a strong investment in biomedical research through the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the upcoming economic stimulus package, also known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Representatives Susan Davis (D-CA) and Brian Bilbray (R-CA) are inviting their colleagues in the House of Representatives to join them on a letter to President-elect Obama and congressional leaders in support of significant new funding for NIH. Not only will this funding lead to improving human health, it will create and sustain quality, high-paying jobs for Americans across the country and lead to long-term economic recovery. Contact your Member of Congress NOW and urge them to sign on to the letter. The deadline for members of Congress to sign the letter is tomorrow, January 14, at 2 pm (EST). TAKE ACTION NOW!
