During a PAN Standing call last week, Amy Comstock Rick, PAN CEO, discussed the status of embryonic stem cell research and the possible Executive Order by President-elect Obama once in office. If you would like to communicate your support for ESCR to President-elect Obama, the Coalition for the Advancement of Medical Research (CAMR) has prepared bullet points that can be submitted to President-elect Obama and his transition team through the
Change.gov website. Bullet points can be found below.
- I strongly support embryonic stem cell research and your campaign pledge to remove the current Federal limitations.
- I urge you to issue an Executive Order that will remove the Federal restrictions and allow embryonic stem research to move forward in our country.
- I appreciate your commitment to leading an administration where politics are removed from science and research can progress without political interference.
On the Change.gov website you can include just the bullet, prepare your own customized words...Personally, I did both.
