PAN Celebrates President Obama's Commitment to Science
The Parkinson’s Action Network (PAN) celebrates President Barack Obama’s commitment to science in his Inaugural Address. During his speech, President Obama said, “We will restore science to its rightful place and wield technology’s wonders to raise health care’s quality and lower its costs.” “President Obama has shown the American people that he will make advancing science a priority in his Administration,” said Amy Comstock Rick, PAN Chief Executive Officer. “President Obama took a good first step yesterday toward restoring science’s preeminent place in American society, and we look forward to his continuing commitment to take politics out of science in his work on stem cell research and funding for NIH and FDA.” Click here to view the text and video of President Obama’s Inaugural Address.
