Default Out of breath

Hey everyone,

I'm experiencing an extreme out of breath problem .... I'm out of shape, but not THAT out of shape ... maybe 15 to 20 pounds heavier than ideal. Even if I go up two or three stairs sometimes, I'm out of breath. My brother, sister-in-law and four nieces went to a water park after Christmas and I about keeled over walking up those highrise water slides. That bothered me, but it's the little, every day stuff that I do that's bothering me the most.

Background info: My mother died of an aneurism when I was 15 (1976) and that's always been in the back of my mind.

My question to you is what type of doctor do I need to see and what type of tests would they run?

I'm currently in Chicago, going through a nasty divorce, so I don't have access to my regular doctors back in Texas.

Thanks ...
Terri
