Started taking both omega 3 caps (1000 mg) and dha (1000mg) caps last fall at the recommendation of my family practitioner to deal with an annoying heart flutter. it disappeared the next day. can't say for sure whether it has any effect on pd.

Hi guys,
While I do not have Parkinsons I wanted to just join the conversation and say I take fish oil. Its the precription high dose fish oil called lovaza. Helped me more than the over the counter ones for my trigylcerides. Thats all Thanks Shelley |

I also take the precription high dose fish oil called lovaza (4 capsules/day). It has helped me dramatically reduce my trigylcerides, which is why it was prescribed. I refuse to take statins. Has lovaza eased my PD symptoms or slowed disease progression? That depends on good I feel on the day you ask me. Truthfully, I never realized it might affect PD, so I never expected it to or tried to evaluate its usefulness.
