Now, just to clarify, vibrational therapy can make you generally feel better. But, we're talking about spending thousands of dollars to feel a little better once in a while. NOT worth it.[/QUOTE]
madame lash you must be very disappointed having invested so heavily in all this equipment without the outcome you had hoped for. but good for you for taking the risk....the mere act of investing in your well being regardless the outcome (which btw in subtle therapies may be hard to quantify unless you consider the vital force, and that from some perspective if you consider mental, emotional, and physical well being that if a person possesses mental welll being he/she reflects a higher degree of health even if their physical body is compromised. we so desperately want our pd sx to go away buut perhaps first we must evolve emotionally and mentally for the physical sx to change otherwise there would be little purpose to our illness-our bodies don''t just exhibit random problems...sx are the very mechanism that propel us -what can make us sick can also heal us. perhaps you are doing as well as you are because of everything you have done....we are the sum total of ouur experiences. so i start with feeling goood - and if these tools can help me do that ....well thats good enough for me. the wet cell battery does vary n price depending on what you get with it from $215- 550. want to sell yours?? btw am trying the aloe- like it too- thx for sharing md

An interesting paper with links to a number of current threads.
With a frequency of 80 Hz, pulse width 700 microsec, two channels at up to 25 mA: "Only a few significant effects of a single session of surface electrical stimulation using different electrode positions in dysphagic Parkinson patients could be observed in this study. Furthermore, significant results for temporal and spatial variables were found regardless of the status of the electrical current in both groups suggesting placebo effects." [1] More work required. My dad recently discovered that he still had a tens machine battery operated stimulator for placing on painful areas (he has a shoulder that gives him trouble)..
Has anyone tried using a tens on spine to see if it helps any with symptoms? If so, where did you place the electopads?? |

For those of you who haven't done it before. General TENS safety: (I never used tens directly to a spine, always along sides of the spinal column. But, I guess things change.)

I just want to clarify some differences. A tens unit can be very helpful for many things. My first experience with one was after a nasty car accident with whiplash. The unit was prescribed by a doctor at Scripps Clinic... not off of eBay or questionable source. It had pads that I placed on either side of my spine just below my neck and it interrupted the pain signals.
There is a thing called a zapper (see http://www.huldaclarkzappers.com) which appears to be similar but is not. These zappers are generating specific sound frequencies that may or may not be tuned to treat some illnesses. From there you go to Rife machines which are big versions of the zappers. Then you get into those therapy chairs which essentially generate more sound frequencies which may or may not help some illnesses... I would recommend a really great massage chair instead. Now for the really white rats there is something called a God Helmet (see http://www.shaktitechnology.com/god_helmet.htm) It's scary because you are actually sending signals into your brain. For my money, I think it has the best chance of actually doing something but that could be good or bad. I own all of this stuff and have thousands invested. Unless you win the lotto... don't invest your last dollar into any of it. If you want to try something, go for the tens or zapper because you can easily get them for under $100. The God Helmet has not worked but I must say that I am not able to use it effectively as a special program needs to be written utilizing specific parameters which is way above my capability. The Russians have something called a Vitafon which is an interesting item... I don't own one but have had a treatment with one... didn't have enough treatments to judge. There is also the scenar which is supposed to only be used by those properly trained. (see http://www.kalinka-store.com/) What does still help a little for me is vitamin B12 shots and lots of aloe juice. |
