Default Paul Linden - Aikido master with PD

Yesterday I met with a PWP from Ohio, a wonderful man called Paul Linden. He is an Aikido master and also teaches people how to deal with stress and trauma. He doesn't particularly work with PWP but i promised that I would spread his word. Here's a youtube video of him...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orv25iIbvy8

This is his website which has a free e-book you can dowload. He does not make any claims to heal PD, but I believe he has the skills to make it much more bearable, and to reduce stress which as we all know is a huge trigger for making symptoms worse.

Default Mindful meditation to deal with pain, stress and discomfort

Thank you Trxiedee for this.
I think that this somehow similar to "mindful meditation", MM, which has been introduced into main stream western medicine from Boodist tradition.
One of the best advocates of MM is J Kabat-zenn. You can find many of his talks and even books free on Youtube.
I have been teaching myself MM and I found it a powerful tool to deal with stress and discomfort. I tell my daughter that I use my tremor to my advantage as I reach a deeper level of meditation while meditating over my tremor as I watch it from a mindful neutral mind.

I had a bodywork session with Paul - he's shaky and I'm stiff. He has tarined in Feldenkrais and he used his tremor to very gently loosen my joints. What a great way to utilise a disability in a positive way. I am familiar with Jon Kabatt Zinn, I have used his meditations before. Also reading a very good book by a (sadly deceased) Zen Buddhist Darlene Cohen: http://www.shambhala.com/turning-suf...nside-out.html

Thumbs up A new way to me of thinking

Hello Trixidee,
Thank you for posting the link to Paul Linden, the Aikido master, some months ago. I visited this site and what I found was a phenomenal teaching, so much so that I want to learn more and integrate it into my being.
Than you so much for posting this link.
