Just wondering if there is anyone in here who has had success with this "off label" therapy? My doctor has prescribed xenazine/tetrabenzine for treatment of dyskenesia? I have been taking this for nearly a month and have not enjoyed the experience.
(That is a euphemism for I am miserable!) I come here often but haven't felt the need to log in and post in ages. Today I feel the need !!!!! Thanks to everyone who participates in this forum. It's strangely comforting to understand that there are so many of us and that every single Parkinson's ride is different and the ups and downs, twists and bends change at a whim. If this were a rollercoaster at the fair I'd ask for my money back!!! |

I can see that your post is slightly dated, but I'd like to say that I've been taking it for four days now and have seen significant reduction in my abnormal movements. I'm not precisely sure what my doctor prescribed the medication for, whether it was for tardive dyskenisia, or akathesia, or Huntington's. So I guess to be more clear I'm not sure if it was off-label or not. But it is working, and also is making me extremely tired. And now I just need to find a way to afford it without robbing a bank every month.
