Hi Colleagues,
I went to Germany to have the Ear Implant Acupuncture implanted to both of my ears. Now, after 10 days my regular contact who massage my legs weekly commented: Why are my legs not trembling like previously. Initially, my recent experience is positive although the effect should be evident only after 3-6 weeks. This appears to work and is not furiously expensive like the one in Barcelona, Spain. I will now introduce this procedure to Finland, too. So far it is not known here . In Germany they have treated already abt 3000 patients with 70% of the patients feeling a clear reduction of Parkinson symptoms like trembling and muscle stiffness. |

I was dx in March this year with early onset PD and I am now taking Biperidene and Selegeline as they want to introduce L-Dopa as late as possible.
But my Chief Neuro Specialist yesterday mentioned the ear acupuncture (after me refusing to consider DBS at present) ... and I am most curious to find out more. I believe that these types of treatments can sometimes work - and as it is non-invasive I'm all up for trying it. May I ask you how you are getting on now ?? I would highly appreciate having further feedback from you if you have the time. Take care Jenny |
