Default Sweats, Anybody?
Does anyone suffer with excessive sweating? I seem to sweat profusely when I'm in the "on" state. Any kind of physical activity gets it going, and it won't stop. Is this a PD symptom or an L-dopa side effect?

Any tips to alleviate this. I'm contemplating acupuncture, but not sure how effective it would be.

Hi there Blue!

Do you sweat even iin cold conditions?
You are sure your sweating is related to med intake?
We PArkies usually have a narrow "operating" temperature. You may need to modify your environment to help with this. I have not heard of accupuncture for this condition, but what the heck! Give it a try, you can let us know if it works or not.

Yes, I sweat dreadfully when suffering dyskinesia. What is called a "drenching sweat". My shirt is soaked, you can almost wring it out. If I remove sweaters etc before I get too hot, it is moderated a little.
But believe me, you are not alone. Does not happen when I'm off.

I sweat terribly - it just won't stop. I'm soaked down to my underclothes and have found that taking a cool shower helps. My neuro shows no interest in the matter.

Hey there Chasmo,

I think it is connected with the dyskinesia, just like Ron, because I don't sweat when I'm off. I sweat in cold temperatures as well.
