The 2009 Millicent Kondracke Award for Outstanding Advocacy is to be received by Jean Burns (NT jeanb,) Arizona PAN State Coordinator & PANSenior Web/Tech Advisor, at the annual Udall Dinner being held in October this year.
Other recipients from prior years:
Millicent Martinez Kondracke, a psychotherapist whose struggle with Parkinson's disease was chronicled in a book by her journalist husband, Saving Milly], died July 22, 2004, at the age of 64 at her home in Washington, D.C., of complications due to her illness. Congratulations, Jean!
Greg Wasson won the first Milly Award in 2002; I believe he was followed by Michelle Lane from Louisiana in 2003.
