If we hit 101 degrees, it's a new all-time record (over 150 years of record keeping). Sea-Tac airport reported 88 at 9:00 a.m.
Is currently 82 in my western-exposure, no AC condo (not usually available in this part of the country) - will get full brunt of sun from noon until it sets at 9:00 p.m. Blinds closed; windows with screens open for breeze; 2 fans going. Fridge full of diet coke; freezer full of ice. Dog cooling on the ground level entry way tile; cat under the bed; water bowls nearby. Paramedics already visited the elderly gentleman across the street for heat complications this morning. This is not why I live in Seattle - A true Northwesterner, I complain about anything over 75 degrees, under 40, and anything longer than about 10 days without rain. Hot spell expected to continue through the weekend; hope I last that long! 4 Tracking Temperatures Hour by Hour in the Seattle Times
