Happy Holidays Everyone..And welcome new community members!
I finished my X-mas shopping this afternoon, so Im ready..I will get together with family tomorrow night and spend the day with my girlfriend on Monday..I wish I could see my daughter but she lives in North Carolina now, but hopefully I'll get down there this winter or maybe she will come here My brother was supposed to get his biopsy results yesterday, but the Drs receptionist screwed up the appiontment date..again!..The Dr is good..but his staff sucks..Now we wont find out untill Jan 19..They at first said we wouldnt be able to get in untill Feb..but they said that would be too far off..That got me thinking?..I wonder if its because they found cancer?..I was debating on whether to attend the PAN Forum this Feb..but now it looks like the fate on that is sealed..unless my brother is in fact ok and I can make last minute arrangements to go..Im gonna take it a day at a time..Your prayers would be appreciated..His name is David My boats new owner finally took the boat out of here on Monday, and he told me it took 14 hours to get to Wellfleet..but he made it safe and sound..I hope he has good luck with her..My fishing season is over and I brought all my conch traps home this week..Im paying the price a bit physically from that but not too bad..mostly achey..probably not even pd related The weather continues to be mild here in New England..as a matter of fact I went to my AA meeting tonight without a jacket..Just a sweatshirt..This mild weather is phemonenmal..We've been lucky I wish you all a very Happy Holiday!..And a special thanks to Dr John and his Staff, Mods etc for creating this oasis in cyberspace for us to visit and offer each other support, camaraderie, and hope How was your week?

Our week is unpredictable at this point in time. I am working very hard not to become SICK AGAIN!!!...ugh!!!...my son in law gave me his whatever it is. He has been in bed for three days with a fever and we almost took him to the ER today, but he refused to go...men...ugh. My youngest grandson got the stitches removed from his forehead this afternoon...that was the Tuesday 3am trip to the ER. I am still trying to finish one last stocking that must be done by tomorrow...:yikes
On the plus side... The has stopped and the an4.gif will shine the rest of the week. The cookies are baked, except for the sugar gingerbread.gif decorating party tomorrow morning...a very fun mess will be made... The jc0212.gif is littered with the usual too many jc1523.gif once again, and Santa and mom and dad haven't made their "donations" yet. My responsibility...dessert...a cake that looks like a gingerbread house (I had to ask)...a chocolate pecan pie...a huge boston creme pie. I will have both my daughters and all four of my grandchildren together this year...goodness, how many years has it been since this happened...I am happy. My son will be the only one missing, and I wish he was going to be here, since he leaves for Iraq in three months.

As all of you probably are, I'm non-stop busy today. A rather large train set is being assembled on the dining room floor. The tree and dining room table have been moved to accomodate Tommy the Train - Ultimate Edition. It looked much smaller in Toys R Us. I don't know where the Air Hockey Set is going to go and then there's the bicycle.
My grandson deserves it...he has been a little short changed sometimes having to spend so much time with a Nana with PD. I hope he is a better person for it. Steve - beautiful picture! Carolyn go scrub yourself with Lysol or something. Hope you don't get what your son-in-law had. Peace, Paula

Paula...he will have so much fun!
Alas, my neck glands are swollen. Swallowing is painful and the sides of my neck hurt to touch. But, I will still be sitting here the balance of the week, working on the power point slides......not to worry about that.

Well, thank goodness the day has come and gone. As much as I like it, it was getting to be a pain in the ... I got off easy for a change this year. No baby dolls packaged so that even the best thief would need a complete tool box to get them out of the package. No "some assembly required" toys that even our best and brightest NASA engineers can't figure them out. Only some new electronic gizmos to figure out how to hook up.

I LOVE Boxing Day!!! After the effort to make Christmas Eve as elegant and fun as it has always been - downsized a wee bit this year, no soup course, and my husband and daughter really pitched in - and helping out with Christmas Day brunch and dinner, I'm so happy to wake up Boxing Day morning and there's nothing I have to do! The house is chaos with presents, stray wrapping paper and packaging, half-empty bottles and chocolates put out of reach of the dog. It's wonderful.
My husband and I gave each other a digital camera for Christmas - 40 pages of instructions for all the things he wants to do, and a point-and-shoot setting plus an "image stabilizer" to compensate for the tremor for me. Our kids, who are all excellent photographers, thought we'd picked out a really good one, and had put nearly 300 pictures on it by last night. I guess that's a compliment to our research! |

Christmas has come and gone...it just goes by so fast!
My wife took my .com company logo to a friend who does embroidery and screen printing and had him embroider the logo on a beautiful black suede leather jacket for me. That was a really cool and thoughtful thing to do. I absolutely love it! We spent time with family and friends and even found some time to relax. Now we're gearing up for New Years and busy planning my graduation party. Even though school is over, our ceremony isn't until the first week of February. It's a little anti-climatic but gives us some breathing room I guess. Looking forward to the celebration. I have some speeches coming up that I need to get to work on and get some PowerPoints done. Always a challenge to try and keep them interesting! Whatever part of the world you're in, I wish you all the happiest of holidays and I hope the New Year brings you whatever your heart and soul desires. (Within reason of course! ) Fight the good fight! Todd PDTalks.com
