Default Anti-ganglioside antibodies

Wiki:
"Anti-ganglioside antibodies that react to self-gangliosides are found in autoimmune neuropathies. These antibodies were first found to react with cerebellar cells."

Is the test called
"Anti-ganglioside antibodies" to check this?

Default Yes, there are several--

--they are listed by some of the research neurologists in the know, such as Dr. Latov and the Washington University neuromuscular site, though I suspect that the "average" neurologist may not know much about them.

In fact, Dr. Latov's group developed a test called the "ganglioside agglutinin" test, which is a gross measure for anti-ganglioside activity, not desgined to show which particular oen is involved, but looking for gneral autoantibody activity (interestingly, in the most acute stage of my neuropathy, this was really the only serum test for autoantibody to peripheral nerve I has a "slight positive" to--follow ups for specific ganglioside autoantibodies turned out negative, which implied I might have been producing autoantibodies unique to me).

Take a look at:
