Default Whole prospect is strange...

at best, isn't it?

Bob, I'd almost MOVE up your way for such coordination!
Joe, makes you wonder if there IS a priority/status system or not....doesn't it?
Deb, I bet you are at least, hier up on the 'treatment' food chain than most! My Optom. is super, will correspond w/docs and is an absolute GEM! I don't think I've ever dissed any staffers in my life...I realize they can be the true LIFEBLOOD of your care! I for one, always let my treating DOCS know that fact....Essentially, they could be...and at times ARE DOGMEAT with out them!
The financial folks in those offices? Well, just keep thinking about what they are probably paid....and make 'em feel special/propriatary about you as a 'well, nice person'?
Obviously it's that or starting to swing the 2"x4"x8'! and, well, that can get messy!
Kmeb, Yep, a leaf blower sounds good about now. Since I've been in a wheelchair for 6 weeks, well, the dust kittens have grand children! And are mutantly multiplying! YIKES! I'm being taken OVER! Heellluuppp!
LJ - I do wish you could help, but understand your own dealings. Will PM you with some somewhat 'unorthodox' options for seating comfort... Read, think and please don't discount it as totally looney...IF it works, Post it all for all!

Hugs to all, thank you for your input...Now I've got to deal with the DOC reality. At times, I really feel as if I'm a walk-on in a daily SOAP! 'Welcome to the Twilight Zone!' Geesh This is not the way I wanna PLAY!

Hugs Plus - j

Default In the end, as sad as this will sound--

--it is the patient's resposibility to make sure each doctor gets the test results, reports, etc. that they should have.

I go into each physicians office with a preprinted letter indicating that all test results, etc. should be copied and forwarded to my main physicians (who are all specialists--I don't have a PCP, as one would be fairly useless in my situation), and all of their names, addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers, and e-mail addresses are listed. Of course, the results STILL don't always get where they need to go. This is why I insist on copies of all results and notes and I make additional copies to send/bring to each pertinent medical professional--physican, physical therpaist, etc.

The wokers at most medical facilities/offices are rather overworked; they are busy handling insurance claims for the great numbers of patients that are over-appointmented each day, and unless one has a good relationship with them (cookies help), it is unlikely they will take the time to send copies/faxes to other physicians. Ultimately, the patient, or an advocate for him/her, must take the responsibility to make sure everything gets to where it needs to go.
