Lightbulb How to lace your shoes:

I found this very helpful suggestion on a link I posted yesterday:

https://www.northcoastfootcare.com/f...echniques.html

I have just relaced up my New Balance walkers, so I can do some shopping and already my feet feel better in the shoes.

My foot sort of resembles the picture on this link.

Even though these new shoes have a soft, thick tongue, they still hurt my feet. I wonder if pressure on this instep has been a bigger problem than I realized in the past.

I'll let people know later tonight after I walk alot!

Thanks MrsD for the information. I usually buy the wider size shoes if possible but the top still hurts my feet. I will have to try the different techniques and see if it will work.

Really appreciate the information.

Thumbs up

Well, I am pleased. My feet after a long Costco walk, are not hurting at all!

How simple can this be? Well I've tried looser ties, but they didn't work well. Only problem is the left over laces! Have to get newer shorter ones I guess now!

Thanks for this. I used to keep my walking shoes just tied so I don't trip but then I was getting a sore cause it rubbed so now I tie it more normal. Sometimes though on my mini walk in the morning I have to stop a few times to readjust. I do feel it has to do with my pain level on that day and swelling. By the way Costco does give one quite the workout.
