Hi everyone.
Sorry I haven't been posting for a while. My PN, especially in my feet, has got quite bad lately. My feet are now constantly completely numb. Can anyone who has suffered similar, recommend any supplements/combination of supplements that have helped them?
Thanks for any help?

Coopster, good to see you back though wish you had better news to report.
Despite my best efforts I continue to decline so I have no advice for you. Hopefully others will chime in.

MrsD seems to be the supplement expert on this...refer back to page 1 & 2 of this thread for her initial thoughts on me. Maybe they will be of help.

Throw in a good diet and ZERO alcohol and hopefully you will at least plateau and not keep declining.

I was thinking about my PN pain today. I really got myself in trouble by obscuring the pain with booze. I knew I could fix the pain right then and walk with no problem while actually doing structural damage to my feet day after day, week after week and, sadly, year after year. Now when I feel that pain, at least I know to take it easy; rest those suckers; do some light stretches when they start to feel a little better. Yeah, it hurts. Yeah, it sucks. But at least I know I'm feeling the real pain that my pour damn feet feel. They were getting all that pain for all that time, not me. I'm paying the price for ignoring it now, but at least we're now on the same team. Not the best team in the league, but a team.

OK, you sorry ******** start healing! I swear I just got a jutting pain while I was typing that. Slow, complete-as-I-can curl of the toes, breath, relax. OK, they're just tingling now. This really does suck sometimes

Thanks for asking: Right at a year. Definitely have objective improvement: not scared to drive (I have a clutch), and I don't limp noticeably but still walk slow.

Read a pretty good essay on pain the other day it's on "aeon.co" called "Where Pain Lives". Talking about pains that really originate in the brain vs the "body" — no it's not fighting for some philosophical dualism, it's from a neuroscience perspective.

Hope everybody is doing OK one day at a time

I appreciate you checking back FutureRunner. Well that is somewhat encouraging that you have seen some measure of improvement.

As for me my life is constant drama. No one can believe my saga. The last couple weeks have been horrific and there is more to come. Stress is a huge trigger for the neuropathy and also I do not eat well when anxious so I am in a great deal of pain and am back to walking with a cane. Today I am trying to relax some and eat better while I wait for the next "shoe to drop". Also MJ does not help with the neuropathy unless it is made worse from stress. In that regard it does bring some measure of relief to calm me so that has become my evening routine as of late.

I know science currently says that weather has no influence on pain. As much as I love science, I think that is wrong.

I just had 3 days with quite a bit more pain than normal. My feat felt like they were swollen (they weren't) and very heavy. At the same time, we had a storm and very low barometric pressure (d'oh). And no, I only became aware of the weather conditions and made the connection after I felt the discomfort, so I wasn't "expecting it".

As soon as the pressure went up a bit, my pain went down to "background level". I'm sure that's a coincidence.

Wide-O, that is my experience as well.

Summer is approaching here so there will be hot and humid days (yuk).

When they happen the (now quite mild) PN pain in my hands as well as the osteoarthritic pain in one shoulder flare up a bit.

Many in the US have complained of arthritis, lymphoma, and various aches and pains which were attributed to the hurricanes. As to this crazy neuropathy, some say the warm weather serves them better but others say winters are better but we post from all spectrums of the globe so what is the humidity and other factors or our specific dx, ie) small fiber vs long.
WideO, you feel like you feel, be it stress, diet, weather, exercise, whatever, it is and how it affects you. This is a mind F but even the best doctors can't figure it out so we must fly with trial and error and instincts. Hope u feel better but for certain something is at play.
