my daughter who is 12 commented to me a few weeks ago that any portrayal of the future that she sees is not positive in the least. Compare that to the 1964 and expo 67 world fairs i went to as a kid at 7 and 10 in which a positive future was portrayed with many new inventions and work saving devices leavingus free for more leisure. I feel sorry for these kids today. At some time you would hope people will say enough is enough.

Stem cells have the potential to cure many conditions that cause a great deal of suffering. I would love to see children grow to be healthy adults. I would love to see spinal cord injured people walk again. I would love to see people condemned to death by genetic condtions have a shot at life. I wouuld love to see Parkinson's, Disease, Alzheimers and Neuropathy fade away.
I am all for stem cell research. Now, if one wants to bear a litter, or have a kid with a certain eye color...not so much.
