Default Sjogrens and BMS dry mouth treatment. Does it work?

I suffer from Burning Mouth Syndrome, with dry mouth and eyes. I came across some research about a substance called Anhydrous Crystalline Maltose that says it's effective in producing more saliva and tears, particularly in Sjogren's patients.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12470447

The product that contains ACM is called Maxisal. Does anyone have any information about ACM or Maxisal? Does it really work? Are there other products available that are less expensive, but equally effective?

Thanks,

Dbrow

Default Treatment for Sjogrens syndrome

Hi, I am new to site. I have Lupus and Sjogrens syndrome. I started taking Evozac for my severe dry mouth and it works wonderfully. I produced very little saliva and in fact have had stones block my salivary ducts a couple of times. After taking this medication, I can actually feel the saliva secretion. It has improved my life.

Default And another one

I use a prescription medicine called Salagen for my dry mouth, works well for my mouth and it gives my eyes some moisture also. And I swear by the Biotene products. I've been using them since I started suffering from the dry mouth. Sjogren's patients are notorious for bad teeth because of the lack of saliva. I've had perfect dental checkups for over 8 years and I believe it's the care I take of my teeth with the Biotene.

By the way, hello everyone. Hope to catch up soon.
Billye
