Default Experiment to beat PN symptoms: Alkaline water at 9.5 PH and -280 ORP...

In a previous thread titled "Got PN from sacral adjustment 12 years ago..."

I described the symptoms and the strategy I was going to employ to try and remedy them. This includes a slew of supplements, strong magnetic belt covering the entire lumbar/sacrum area, IFc and Alkaline water...

So after some extensive research, I bought one of the best models made by the Korean firm KYK with 7 titanium plates coated with platinum, guaranteed for 5 years: the retail price was US$1695.00 including a set of spare filters and if I buy 2 more, I'll get wholesale price on the 3 units at just under $1000.00 a piece...

The machine is very well made, includes inline filter and pressure reducer with snap-in connections: installation was a breeze and yesterday I drunk my first glass of water at 9.5 PH and -280 ORP...

There is a large body of evidence, mainly testimonials, showing that Alkaline water cures many ailments, as it rebalances our systems, which usually suffers from too much acidity. Lourdes in France has a source honored by the Catholics, whose water is at 9.5 PH and has been credited with curing many thousands of pilgrims...

It may be wishful thinking, but it seems to me that my feet felt much more alive when I woke up this morning and I also felt more relaxed: too soon to tell, of course, but I will monitor my blood pressure and pulse daily, as this water is supposed to lower both and help with weight loss, as well...

I'll keep you all posted of any progress and/or set back as they unfold...

I could provide a number of links to support these assertions, but cannot until I have posted 10 times...

Not good, so far, as PN has now flared up into my forearms, wrist and palms, to the point I can now barely use a mouse due to the irritation caused where the wrist/palm rest on the pad...

I have now lowered the PH to 8.5 and the ORP to -100 Mv to see if that helps...

I have misgivings about this alkaline water intervention.

Our bodies have a very sensitive acid/base system, and overloading it basically is not a good idea IMO.

That link I put up, on your other thread discusses this.

Also don't overdo the magnet belt you purchased. It is very very strong. Don't move it near the neck or heart. I would not use it all day long... but only an hour or two daily.

I thought that the pain was under control only when the belt was on and I have been wearing it 12 hours a day...

Interesting read for those contemplating Alkaline water:

http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1301692#i

Alkaline water - at least at the high level I started - is a bad idea for PN sufferers. I am back to normal bottled water now to see if I can get rid of the PN symptoms that have appeared in arms and hands since taking the alkaline water...

I am now concerned that high alkalinity might boost auto-immune response and attack the fatty myelin sheath of the nerves...

Lightbulb

I found that the magnets eventually change the firing of the nerves.

I believe much chronic pain is nerve firing from an old stimulus.
Once you retrain the nerves, it can stop. Yours appears to be partly from injury/impingement.

That belt you bought is the strongest I have ever seen. So because of that, I think you should go slowly with it.
Higher up on the body...it might disrupt autonomic functions.
So treat that belt with respect, because there are not many references about such strong interventions.

Any extremes in pH...acid or alkaline can cause paresthesias.
Hyperventilate and you will see...for example.

I found out one of the problems: about a year ago, I switched from Sodium salt to Potassium salt and when I started using the Alkaline water, I drank less than I used to with normal water...

Without realizing I was becoming dehydrated and short on Sodium electrolytes: I started yesterday on the 'water cure' that consists of drinking about 100 ounces of water a day with a little salt added to each glass...

http://www.watercure2.org/critical_wc_info.htm

I am now feeling better and the PN symptoms on forearms and hands that had appeared now seem to be receding...

My feet are definitely feeling better and some areas of numbness are regaining some sensitivity...

Can't wait to start on the supplements and I have now added Primrose Oil to the list:

- Natural Factors, Coenzyme Q10, 100 mg, 60 Softgels
- Carlson Labs, Super Omega-3 Gems Fish Oil, 100 + 30 Free Soft Gels
- Country Life, P-5-P (Pyridoxal 5' Phosphate), 50 mg, 100 Tablets
- Jarrow Formulas, Methyl B-12, 5000 mcg, 60 Lozenges
- Now Foods, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, 3 oz (85 g)
- Life Extension, Mega Benfotiamine, 250 mg, 120 Veggie Caps
- Doctor's Best, Best Stabilized R-Lipoic Acid Na-RALA, 100 mg, 60 Veggie Caps
