Default Living with pain...

Billye would like this? Living with pain is one CONSTANT WE ALL HAVE....
It is a physical, searing, incessant unrelenting and very unforgiving one...It can come and go. It affects different parts of us...to different degrees. and IT does NOT give up!
- it is relentless
- it doesn't descriminate! Sex, race, status, or age
- it is unfair -IT doesn't care
- IT IS NASTY!
- it keeps us awake at nite or during the day -we'd rather sleep our lives away
- it turns us into zombies because of either the pain, meds or both...
- IT may NOT go away? - greatest demon of all.....
- HOW DO WE DEAL WITH IT? - as Billye has, with grace and courage...

Who wants to add which additional aspects to this?

I hope you all can add to this list, docs mite read this all and LEARN! Well, we can only hope so....

It takes away the person you used to be
It fills the medicine cabinet to the max
It makes people scratch their heads and wonder how bad the pain can be when they can't see it
I can't dance with my grandbabies all around the kitchen anymore
It makes you more compassionate to the folks that used to make you scratch your head
It gives you friends from all walks of life all over the globe and pain can't take that away

Chronic pain makes you fear the tomorrows and wish for the yesterdays...

It takes the simple things away like going for coffee or to lunch and small errands are hard to do.
It takes away a care free lifestlye and everything has to be planned around if in to much pain to go.
It creates anxiety when the severe pain will come on that even meds can't help.
Also when new syptoms may start and the fear of the unknown that something serious is going on that isn't being dx or treated right
Hurts your family as they watch you suffer
Unable to work and puts financial stress
Being in so much pain doesn't let you focus on other things then the pain
Makes it hard to hold to hope
Makes days that are pain free so wonderful and happy
You realize that health is #1 and other things like money or looks mean little
You do meet special people that you have a special bond because unless you experience this you really can't understand.
