Default Gluten Free Society

Yesterday I attended the local Health Fest and listened to Dr. Peter Osborne from Houston speak about gluten. I learned that gluten is a broad term and all grains have gluten, just different types and amounts. If you aren't getting well on a gluten-free diet, it could be because you're still eating gluten. Most foods labeled gluten-free just eliminate wheat, rye and sometimes oats. He had a young patient who thought he was gluten free, but until he eliminated rice from his diet, his health didn't improve. He said the only way to tell for sure if you're gluten sensitive/intolerant is to have your DNA tested. He said gluten causes more than 300 diseases, including neuropathy, thyroid, IBS, gall bladder, ADD and ADHD, osteoporosis, cancer, migraines, and many more.

You can read more about Dr. Osborne and his work at www.glutenfreesociety.org.
