Default MRIs stimulates the peripherical nerves

Hi,

Since your english is better than mine can you please tell me what does stimulates in this text means?

http://www.revisemri.com/questions/safety/pns

http://linkinghub.elsevier.com/retri...30725X03001061

Could this explain my reaction to MRI? Could MRIs damage one's peripherical nerves

I would not attempt to litigate this. No lawyer would take the case.

There is no real evidence that MRI is damaging. However, no one should undertake the test if they have risk aversion. It is a risk/benefit ratio. Same as with drug usage. Everything has risk. Do you use a cell phone, a stove, a car? Everything in life poses risk.

MRI causing PN? That is looking for a needle in a haystack.

Stimulates means gets a response from. If you pinch yourself or poke yourself with a needle...that is stimulation. It just says you FEEL it.

It does not say DAMAGE in that article or have lingering negative effects when the MRI is over.

The main thrust of that article is to explain that the heart is not affected by the MRI...

I know.

It was meant to illustrate that in most homes we have radiation hazzards. We ignore them for convenience of having quick satisfaction.

4 minutes to meatballs instead of an hour.

Everything in life has risk.

Now repeated CT scans do expose people to far more radiation than they should get.

Ok, but I did several X-Rays and never experience pain...

I feel so bad... I feel so lonely in this battle againts mRIs. They caused me so much pain. As I said before, Since my last MRI I have pain even in my genitals. And why? One day we will find out why. I jus wanna know if it is NP or reversible. I read that the explanation for NP was in the spine. I did my MRI o the spine. MAybe there is a connection...
