Default Sympton-don't know what to call it???

I don't even know how to explain my symptons. At times I feel an overwhelming "nervousness". I can feel it coming on. Waves of tension or anxiety come over my whole body. I feel like running around in circles but what I do is just pace. It's not a panic attack or medication side effect. I really can't describe it. It is positively unbearable. Has any one else experienced this?

I think that's the same thing I feel sometimes, but I don't feel it as quite as intensely as you describe. I've never heard anyone else but you even talk about it, so I've never had a word for it either. At least now I know I'm not the only one.

Lightbulb

This is a common side effect of some antidepressants like
SSRIs and SNRIs.... Prozac, Effexor, Cymbalta, etc.

It can also occur with some other drugs...Seroquel, Zyprexa, or
Risperdal or Geodon.

Yes, I feel this way also. usually preceding a flare of the dysautonomia. I did not realize there was a term for it but sounds right.

I know that valium is not a great drug for me to take (it sits better than Xanax), but I do generally take 5 mg when this occurs. It seems to help.

In my opinion a beta blocker is your best bet to try to mitigate this. They are not addictive.

I get this whenever I try any of the drugs listed in the article.

You may possibly get relief from a dopamine agonist like Mirapex or Requip, as well.

Thanks for all your feedback, you guys are great. I think I will make an appointment with my rheumatologist and go over my list of drugs. Maybe I need to see the neurologist again. Thanks!

Well I have pre my health conditions anxiety but I do feel when my health is in a bad spot and the pain is high I get this feeling you describe. I almost don't even know what to do with myself it is like I am running inside does that make sense? Are you on an anti anxiety meds? For me that has helped to a degree. It sounds like a good plan to check in with your doc. It is so hard to know what is part of our condition or seperate.
